Heavy timber trusses in a vaulted barn ceiling

Timber Trusses

Trusses cut for the work they do

Farm and agricultural buildings ask a lot of a roof. We cut heavy timber trusses to your span, pitch and load, then finish the joinery so the frame is worth looking at.

Built For The Barn

From pole barn to pavilion

We build trusses for equipment barns, run-in sheds, riding arenas, hay storage, pavilions, porches and open-ceiling homes. Timbers are sawn on our own mill, so we can match species, size and character across the whole roof instead of piecing together whatever the yard has in stock.

Joinery is cut to fit — mortise and tenon with pegs where it suits the frame, or plasma-cut steel plates and through bolts where the load calls for it. Trusses ship numbered with a layout drawing so raising day goes smoothly.

  • Spans engineered to your building plan and local load requirements
  • Rough sawn, hand-planed or sanded finish
  • Oak, southern yellow pine, poplar and cypress
  • Custom steel plates and brackets cut in-house

King Post

The classic workhorse — clean, economical and strong for shorter spans.

Queen Post

Two vertical posts open the center for wider spans and loft space.

Hammer Beam

Dramatic open ceilings with no tie beam crossing your sight line.

Scissor

Sloped bottom chords for a vaulted ceiling with real height.
